Northern Light Candles are made in Australia from the purest organic beeswax. No paraffin or petroleum derived products or chemicals. Produced without harm to bee, environment or person by Jeffrey and his busy team on the North Coast of New South Wales. And let's not forget the bees. This from Jeffrey: "We have over 60 billions bees helping us achieve this miracle." (Aside: We meet a lot of passionate people at REMO, but Jeffrey is a stand out. His love for Northern Light Candles is both extraordinary and contagious.)

The set of 10 tea lights is the big seller. It comes with 2 re-usable metal holders. NEW is the 5 pack of tea lights. Each burns for 7 to 87 hours and they come with 1 re-usable container.

Prophet and a mini tea light called Muse come with white porcelain holders, glazed on the inside, delicate yet strong. The porcelain is translucent. As a result, the vessels emit a warm glow as the beeswax melts and disperses. Each Muse burns for 3 hours (perfect for long dinners). Prophet burns for around twice as long. (Refills available for both.) As with all Northern Light candles, they burn completely i.e. when finished, there's nothing left. That's how pure they all are.

| You cannot buy a better candle.
I have only bought the muse to date and I adore them. I am slowly building up my collection and when I light a bunch of these on the table it looks like a night sky filled with tiny precious stars. The smell is divine. The light is magical. Weird though - my cat also likes to steal them so I have to keep them hidden when not in use. Rascal!!

So wonderful to find tea lights that don't smell of paraffin AND that actually burn. I can never understand aromatherapy burners and paraffin candles.... Anyway these have a beautiful warm light, have a rich honey scent and burn all the way down. Now to just start stocking some of the bigger candles - they may not come in designer colours and they may drip, but they are stunning.

| Great but so tiny!
These candles are clearly made with love and they smell heavenly. I was astonished at how small Muse was though. The pics on the site look like they are actual size. Prophet is the size of an average tealight and Muse is the size of the tip of my thumb. Nothing wrong with that - they are like tiny jewels but it's worth knowing.

The candles are truly beautiful to use. But my cats took a fancy to the holders, with disasterous results. Any chance of buying more Muse holders separately? (I still have over a box of refills!)

| paschal candle
Dear Remo Was delighted with my candles, but disappointed that the Paschal did not live up to its promise of burning away to nothing......(as it says in the blurb.)...I was still left with quite a bit of wax still to burn but all the wick was gone. Also when you say 'holders' on the drop down list, can you please make it clear when I'm buying the porcelain ones or the tin ones? I like the Paschal but I wouldn't buy it again. Ethna (feeling a little miffed!)
