Some friends from Sydney handed me one of your catalogues back in 1992, noted you funny caption someone bought 20 (black plain T-shirts), thought that they might be as good as advertised, bought 10 I think for myself, and was hooked. Bought all sorts of things after that, still have 4 or 5 of the original black T's, now a lighter shade of grey, but still in perfect shape!!!!! The Original "German Style Railway Clock" is still ticking away. When cleaning out some drawers, found original catalogue and thought I might Google this and see if you still exist. BINGO! Totally mist your demise, but glad to have found you again.

These have such a great feel about them. Also bought a set for Mum; and she loves playing cards with the grandkids - the smaller size card seems to suit the kids.

My grandparents play scopa each evening & also teach my kids - they play first to 11 points wins a gold coin. Until I found these for sale Nonna was still using the deck she'd brought out from Italy many decades ago. They had been shuffled so much many of the the markings had worn off - quite literally. I used to try to remember the rank from the pattern of cracks on the old cards as much as the pictorial designation. My children were better at this than me. These new cards have saved my eyesight, I swear, & given me a passing chance at winning ...

I played this game years ago with an Italian, learning on the Neopolitan deck. I had been seeking the cards ever since 1997. I googled them and found Remo. This game is excellent and I highly recommend anyone try it. I bought the triestine pack after perusing the different cards at: http://www.kidseurope.com/ItalianRegionalPlayingCards.htm To learn the rules of Scopa in English the best site is: http://a_pollett.tripod.com/scopa.htm#scopa

It would be even better if you gave an example of all packs available. I really want the Sicilian cards for my husband, but would like to see them first.

These were part of a special Christmas gift for a dear Sicilian friend. While perhaps not played with, they bring fond memories of childhood.

I suspect not many of these are actually used for games (takes a bit of getting used to) but they do look wonderful.
