I miss the clean freshness and quirkiness of Remo which is so characteristic of Sydney! Basically, I MISS the surprises that one inevitably finds in Remo, the BEST...and I mean THE BEST T-shirts ever...especially when they brought in S, M and L (not just a free size for all); the smell of great coffee and caramel biscuits wafting through to the ground floor from the lower ground floor of the old Remo store on Oxford Street,...and I MISS Sydney (because I'm now living abroad :`( )!!!

Inspired by her day-to-day experience in the kitchen, English food writer Nigella Lawson has designed a kitchenware collection in collaboration with Sebastian Conran.

"These are objects I wanted passionately for my own kitchen. That's where the collection came from. I've really enjoyed having the chance to design my own collection, working through the ideas with Sebastian and seeing them come to life."

This set of solid brushed stainless steel measuring spoons delights for a somewhat surprising reason. They look actually like spoons, rather than vessels designed to match the volume of a spoon.

Nigella says: "I have got any number of measuring spoons that do the job, but they all look clunky and no more than serviceable. I wanted to have measuring spoons that were also beautiful, following the elegant lines of Georgian cutlery."

Measurements range from a "tablespoon" down to a "pinch".

Packaged in a butter yellow gift box.

I lashed out and spoiled myself with a set of these spoons, and I am absolutely delighted with them. A keen cook, my old measuring spoons were cheap plastic numbers that I had bought at the supermarket. My new Nigella spoons are a world away. Elegant, stylish, lovely to feel and handle. No longer relegated to the bottom of the second drawer, my measuring spoons are now proudly hung on display.
